Breast Augmentation

What is a breast augmentation?

Breast augmentation can help you achieve the fuller bust you desire. This procedure provides fuller breasts by surgically inserting implants beneath the muscle or breast tissue. Breast augmentation can also help mitigate a loss of fullness in the breasts caused by a variety of circumstances, including weight fluctuation, aging and breastfeeding.

What are the benefits?

Procedure Details

This procedure typically requires general anesthesia. For this reason, we recommend you ask a friend or loved one to transport you home from your breast augmentation procedure.

Recovery Timeline

Breast augmentation is an outpatient procedure. The procedure itself can be done in a couple of hours, though you should plan to spend the day at the hospital since you will have to be prepped for your procedure. You will be taken to a recovery room following your breast augmentation.

We ask that you wear a surgical support bra for about two weeks following your procedure. This will aid in healing and provide the support needed for your breasts to take on the proper shape and balance.

Returning to Regular Activities

Each patient is unique, but in most cases, we recommend that you wait up to 2 weeks before returning to work and engaging in light activity. You should wait at least six weeks before returning to vigorous activity.
